There have lower mortality rates from all causes, coronary heart disease, hypertension, cerebrovascular accidents, type 2 diabetes, colon and breast cancer, and depression, better functioning of their cardiorespiratory and muscular systems, and better body mass and composition .
There have a more favorable biomarker profile for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes and improved bone health, and they present a greater functional health, a lower risk of falls, better preserved cognitive functions, and a lower risk of moderate and severe functional limitations.
So, take advantage of your vacation to sunbathe, relax and perform some sport, if possible, outdoors!
